Barasala (or) NaamKaran is a traditional ceremony of naming a newborn baby among Hindu communities of India. Usually the father whispers the name in the right ear of the baby, and also writes the full name with right hand ring finger, in white rice put in a big plate. The baby receives blessings from all, including the priests
